Dr Guna Havensone is a medical doctor and nutrition specialist with extensive experience in nutrition science, aesthetic medicine and body aesthetics. She graduated from the General Medicine programme at Rīga Stradiņš University, obtained a Master’s degree in Health Sciences in Nutrition Science and continued her studies in the RSU doctoral programme in Health Care. Her professional experience combines a medical approach to patient health, the role of nutrition in metabolic processes and the practical application of aesthetic medicine.
Since 2015, Guna Havensone has been a lecturer at Rīga Stradiņš University in the dietology residency programme, the Master’s programme in Health Nutrition and the Doctor’s Assistant programme in Internal Diseases and Dietology. Her professional and scientific interests are related to the impact of nutrition on metabolism, glycaemic and insulin responses, the role of wholegrain products in health promotion, as well as the connection between nutrition, skin health and aesthetic medicine.
Guna Havensone has regularly participated in international conferences and scientific projects, and is the co-author of several publications on glycaemic and insulin responses after the consumption of grain products, the physiological role of dietary fibre and aspects of metabolic syndrome. Her approach is characterised by medical precision, evidence-based nutrition recommendations and an individual assessment of each patient’s health, lifestyle and goals.
