Prof. Janis Kisis was the chairman of the board of the Association "Against Sexually Transmitted Diseases", a board member of the Association of Latvian Dermatovenerologists, Baltic Dermatovenerologists, Latvian Phlebologists, Latvian Dermoscopy Association, member of the Board of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Janis Kisis has been practicing dermatology since 1981, having graduated from the Riga Medical Institute. Interned in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and the USA, and regularly participated in annual international congresses, seminars and training courses around the world. From 2006 prof. Janis Kisis ran his own private clinic. After his death in 2022, the clinic was renamed the Med Art clinic.
